Hi everyone,
Below is a link to Equestrian Sports website with information on Equine Flu seminars being held over the next few weeks - some are starting this week and next week. Follow the link for dates etc.
The New Zealand Racing Board-led Industry Contingency Planning Group is hosting a series of workshops around the country to heighten awareness of the threat of the Equine Influenza (EI) virus to the New Zealand Equine industry.
The workshops are designed to educate and build awareness amongst equine industry participants to the risk of EI infection, the clinical symptoms of EI, the immediate on-farm or in-stable response to suspected EI infection and the required equine hygiene and biosecurity procedures and supplies needed in the event of an EI outbreak.
The two hour workshops will be held throughout December in selected locations across the country. Workshops are free to equine industry participants.
Workshops are limited to 20 persons per session due to practical aspects of training. All participants will receive a certificate of equine influenza awareness and basic training in equine biosecurity techniques.
The seminar is about 2 hours long and has information on what to do and precautions to take etc
This link will lead you to the public information on the EI seminars
