Information Regarding the New Zealand Polocrosse Council Incorporated AGM:
AGM Information:
AGM Date: 27th September 2008
Venue: Cloverlea Neighbourhood Tavern, Corner Tremaine Ave and Gillespies Line, Palmerston North
Start Time for AGM: 11.00am
Numbers attending required by Board Secretary 5 days prior to the AGM
Board Nominations:
Lawrence Tye is retiring from the Board and will not be available for re-election.
Nominations for this position on the Board must come from Associations and be accompanied by a CV and should be received by the Board Secretary, PO Box 228, Wanganui no later than 4.00pm on the 6th September 2008.
Remits:
Any remits for Board consideration must be received by the Board Secretary, PO Box 228, Wanganui no later than 4.00pm on the 6th September 2008.
By-Laws:
The Board recommends that the 2006 Draft By-Laws, that have been played under for the last two seasons, be adopted at the 2008 AGM.
The Board recommends that the following changes and additions also be adopted at the 2008 AGM…
Current By-Laws read –
7.7 Eligibility To Represent New Zealand -
Any player who has represented another country has a 2-year stand-down before being eligible to represent New Zealand.
Any other Nationality, other than New Zealand, is required to be a permanent resident in New Zealand for 2 years before becoming eligible.
- Overseas Players – Residential Term –
A residential term of 14 days be set before overseas players who are non New Zealanders can play in a NZ National Fixture. The maximum non NZ players per team is 2.
The Board recommends that these By-Laws be changed and added to, to read -

The definition of an overseas player is a player who falls short of the criteria outlined in 7.7.
7.9 Maximum non New Zealand Players per Team -
The maximum number of non NZ players per team is 2 for all national representation and domestic competition.
7.10 Officially Invited Teams:
In the case of officially invited overseas teams the Board can sanction the exemption of Rule 7.9
AGM and Conference Agendas and Reports:
The AGM and Conference agendas, along with all reports, will be forwarded to Club and Association Secretaries 10 days prior to the AGM.
Conference Discussion will include the following -
- Delegates meetings – one being the conference and another to be held possibly at the Juniors and Intermediates
- Over hand throw
- Riding through the goal posts
- Walk In Line Outs
Affiliations and Levies for the 2008 Playing Season:
Senior/Intermediate Member ……….. $70.00 per player

New Player …….. 1st Carnival free 2nd Carnival full affiliation required
Casual Player ……….. $40.00 per Carnival

Inter-Associations Championship Levy ….. $90.00 per team
Transfer Fees…. $250.00 per player
Junior member to be under 16 years of age as at 1st January - as per IPC Rules
